I just finished watching Forgotten Island and it's refreshing to see an original IP in a while. Forgotten island's emphasis on friendship and memories is really highlighted during the climax of the film with BINI's Parallel World and Sophia's Never Tear Us Apart

Watch: Never Tear Us Apart (Sophia of KATSEYE)
The official audio from Back Lot Music is the cleanest way to hear the full performance. The track runs just over three minutes and sits inside a soundtrack that also features BINI, SB19, H.E.R., Liza Soberano, and Lea Salonga among others.

Where to Listen and Why the Credit Matters
Official audio is on Back Lot Music’s YouTube and on Spotify, Apple Music, and other platforms as part of the Forgotten Island soundtrack released September 18, 2026, ahead of the film’s September 25 opening. The billing “Sophia of KATSEYE” keeps the group association while letting her voice stand alone — a soft presence during a public hiatus rather than a quiet disappearance from the cultural timeline.
The INXS rework is used in the film for an emotional friendship peak. Sophia has framed the project around culture, women, family, and friendship — values that map cleanly onto both the movie moment and her public persona. For fans watching the dual-hiatus era, the track is proof that absence from the stage is not the same as silence.
Solo Credit During a Group Hiatus
Sophia stepped back from group activities in August 2026. Recording and releasing a DreamWorks soundtrack cut in that window is not a full comeback. It is still a major credit under the KATSEYE name. That dual reading — personal project, group-branded billing — is exactly why the song keeps showing up in searches next to hiatus questions.
Meanwhile the four active members continue the Wildworld Tour and national TV. The group brand is carrying both a live product and a soundtrack credit at the same time. That split is unusual, but it is the accurate public picture in late September 2026.
