Amanda Seyfried and Thomas Sadoski have confirmed they are separating after nine years of marriage.
In a joint statement shared exclusively with People on September 15, 2026, the actors said they have been separated “for a while” and that the decision has proven to be the right move for their family.
“We have been separated for a while, and it’s proven to be the right move for us and our family unit. We’ve got each other forever — and it’s GOOD,” the couple stated.
Seyfried, 40, and Sadoski, 50, met in 2015 while starring together in the off-Broadway play The Way We Get By. They later reunited on the set of the 2017 film The Last Word and got engaged the following year. The pair eloped in 2017 and share two children: daughter Nina, 9, and son Thomas Jr., 5.
The couple has largely kept their family life private, spending much of their time away from the Hollywood spotlight. Seyfried recently shared a lighthearted Instagram Story photo of Sadoski with a bearded dragon, captioning him a “#reptiledad,” suggesting the pair remain on amicable terms.
No further details about the separation or any legal proceedings have been released. Representatives for both actors have not issued additional comments beyond the joint statement.
