Multiple supporting acts have withdrawn from Ed Sheeran’s Loop Tour following the removal of rapper Macklemore.
Finneas, Lukas Graham, Aaron Rowe and the Irish group Beoga all announced they would no longer participate. Finneas stated that artists must not be silenced when speaking up for the oppressed and confirmed he was withdrawing from his scheduled dates.
Sheeran said the decision to remove Macklemore was made by the tour’s promoter, not by him. The remaining dates now face uncertainty regarding opening acts. The situation has drawn widespread coverage across music and entertainment outlets.
