The official promo for Saturday Night Live’s Season 52 premiere dropped, and KATSEYE is right in the middle of it with host Jalen Brunson. The short clip shows the four active members — Lara Raj, Daniela Avanzini, Megan Skiendiel, and Yoonchae Jeung — matching Brunson’s “locked in” energy. Within minutes, fans across X and Weverse zeroed in on the same detail: Sophia Laforteza and Manon Bannerman are not in the frame.

What the SNL Promo Actually Shows
Brunson, fresh off the Knicks’ championship run, plays the serious competitor who refuses to loosen up. When someone suggests he can relax for the Saturday Night Live stage, he turns to KATSEYE for backup. The four members respond in character — fully locked in, deadpan, matching his intensity. The bit is short, sharp, and clearly designed to introduce the musical guests to a broad American audience that may not follow every tour update.
For KATSEYE, landing the Season 52 premiere slot as musical guests is a significant television milestone. SNL remains one of the most visible platforms in U.S. entertainment. A promo that puts the group next to a championship NBA star extends their reach beyond the core EYEKON base.

Why Fans Immediately Noticed the Missing Members
The reaction online split in the familiar way that has defined much of 2026 for this group. One side celebrated the booking and the polished delivery of the four members who have carried the Wildworld Tour through Europe. The other side kept asking the same questions that followed the European leg and the earlier tour dates: Where is Sophia? Is Manon okay? Will either of them appear on the actual SNL stage?
Sophia stepped back from group activities in August. Manon has been on hiatus since February. Both absences were framed as temporary, and the group has repeatedly said the door remains open. The SNL promo simply made the current reality visible again — four members on screen, two still missing from the public-facing picture.

What This Promo Means in the Bigger KATSEYE Timeline
KATSEYE arrived at this SNL moment after a sold-out European leg of the Wildworld Tour and ahead of the North American opener in Miami on October 13. The four-member configuration has proven it can fill arenas and deliver strong live reviews. Television is a different test. Studio 8H puts the group in front of cameras, a comedy audience, and a national broadcast window that does not automatically know the group’s internal story.
The promo does its job: it introduces the current lineup, pairs them with a high-profile host, and signals that KATSEYE is operating at a major U.S. entertainment level. It does not answer the open questions about Sophia and Manon. Those questions remain part of the conversation whether the group addresses them or not.
