For U.S. Roblox players · Updated October 29, 2026 · By Shivam Das
Quick answer: A free item earned during Roblox’s The Hollow event does not automatically have a resale or player-to-player trading value. Roblox’s published trading rules cover Roblox-created Limited and Limited U items. An event quest reward is not automatically a Limited, and a Marketplace asking price is not proof that an item can be traded. Check the item’s own details page before assigning it a value.
The phrase “Hollow UGC trading value” can blur three different things: an item’s value to its owner, its current Marketplace asking price, and whether Roblox allows it to be resold or traded. Those are not interchangeable. This guide separates confirmed platform rules from claims that still need evidence.
What Roblox has confirmed about The Hollow
Roblox announced The Hollow as a platform-wide Halloween survival event that opened October 22, features nine horror-game monsters across nine days, and has a live finale on October 31. Players can earn exclusive UGC and other rewards by completing quests in the hub and participating experiences. Roblox says rewards can continue to be collected until noon Pacific Standard Time on November 2, 2026.
The announcement also mentions limited-time Halloween avatar items sold on the Marketplace. That is a separate category from items earned by completing event quests. A quest reward is not necessarily a Marketplace Limited.

Can you trade free Hollow UGC?
Only if the individual item meets Roblox’s trading requirements. Roblox Support says its trading system covers Roblox-created Limited and Limited U items. The item details page identifies whether an item is tradable. If the page does not show that the item is tradable, do not treat it as a tradeable collectible.
Completing a quest, receiving an exclusive reward, or seeing other players wear an item does not establish that it can be traded. Rarity and player interest do not override Roblox’s platform rules. Before offering an item, open its official details page and inspect the Tradable field. See Roblox’s Trading Support guide.
Marketplace price is not the same as trading value
A listing price tells you what a seller is asking. It does not prove that an item recently sold at that amount, that buyers will pay it, or that it can be included in a player-to-player trade. Check these separately:
- Tradability: Does the item details page explicitly say it is tradable?
- Resale eligibility: Is it a Limited or Limited U that can be resold under Roblox’s rules?
- Asking price: What are sellers currently listing it for, if resale is enabled?
- Demand: Is there evidence of actual buyer activity, rather than screenshots of asking prices?
- Availability: Can players still earn it through the event?
Roblox says only Limited and Limited U items can be resold, and account eligibility and a holding period may apply. A purchased Limited can have a holding period of up to 30 days before resale. Read Roblox’s official guide to selling items.
What the 175-Robux credit claim means
We could not verify an official Roblox announcement establishing a universal 175-Robux credit for The Hollow or confirming that such a credit changes the trade status of event UGC. Treat claims about a free credit, guaranteed profit, or a price surge caused by that credit as unconfirmed unless Roblox publishes the offer and its terms.
Even if a promotion provides purchasing credit, that does not convert a non-Limited quest reward into a tradeable item. Credit eligibility, item purchase rules, resale rules, and trading permissions are separate questions. Check any offer inside Roblox before spending based on a social post.
How to check a Hollow item before trading
- Open the item from your Roblox inventory or its official Marketplace page.
- Check its name, creator, and whether it is marked Limited or Limited U.
- Look for the Tradable field. If it says no, do not include it in a trade.
- If resale is available, compare current listings and price history; do not rely on one screenshot.
- Check holding-period and account eligibility rules before expecting to resell.
- Never share your password, browser cookie, recovery code, or two-step verification code with a trader or “value checker.”
What collectors should do before the reward deadline
Roblox says event rewards can continue to be collected until November 2, 2026, at noon PST. The October 31 finale and November 2 reward cutoff are different milestones. If you want an event reward for your avatar, complete the relevant quest and confirm that the item appears in your inventory. Do not delay a claim because you expect its price to rise later.
For collectors, the safest approach is to keep items you enjoy and verify trade eligibility item by item. For resale-focused players, stick to assets Roblox actually identifies as eligible. A free quest reward can still be worth keeping even when it has no legitimate trading market.
Frequently asked questions
Do all free Hollow UGC items have trading values?
No. A free event reward is not automatically tradeable. Roblox says its trading system supports Roblox-created Limited and Limited U items. Check the item’s details page for its Tradable status.
Can I resell a Hollow quest reward for Robux?
Only if that specific item qualifies under Roblox’s resale rules. Roblox says only Limited and Limited U items can be resold, and additional account and holding-period requirements may apply.
Does a 175-Robux credit make an item more valuable?
Not by itself. A credit does not establish demand, completed sales, resale eligibility, or trade eligibility. We could not verify a Roblox-wide 175-Robux Hollow credit announcement.
Where can I check whether an item is tradable?
Open its official details page and look for the Tradable field. See the Trading on Roblox support guide.
When does The Hollow reward collection end?
Roblox says players can continue collecting rewards until noon Pacific Standard Time on November 2, 2026. The live finale is scheduled for the morning of October 31.
