The Hollow UGC Claim Bug Reports: What to Screenshot Before Reporting
The Hollow UGC Claim Bug Reports: What to Screenshot Before Reporting

Updated October 22, 2026 · By Shivam Das

If a Roblox The Hollow reward will not claim, capture clear evidence before retrying repeatedly. A screenshot can show the item, error, and claim-button state—but it cannot by itself prove a platform-wide bug. This is a troubleshooting checklist, not confirmation of a verified The Hollow UGC outage.

Roblox says The Hollow begins October 22 at 2 p.m. Pacific Time, with Roblox Plus subscribers able to enter the hub earlier at noon PT. Check the official Roblox event announcement for the schedule and published details.

Quick answer: What should you screenshot?

Capture the full screen showing the reward name, claim or redeem button, error message, and device time if possible. Also capture the item page and any eligibility prompt. Record your device, app version, approximate time, and steps that led to the problem. Hide passwords, payment details, private messages, and personal information before sharing evidence.

Five screenshots that make a UGC claim report more useful

1. The reward and its current status

Capture the item card before pressing Claim. Keep the item name and visible requirements in frame. If the page lists a quest, badge, event task, or prerequisite, capture that too. This helps distinguish a missing reward from one that is not yet eligible.

2. The exact error after pressing Claim

Take a screenshot immediately. Do not crop out the message, button, or nearby item details. If the error disappears too quickly, record its wording manually and say you could not capture it. Avoid repeatedly clicking a button that appears to be processing.

3. The item or Marketplace page

For a UGC avatar item, capture its title and page. If it shows an unavailable, owned, or purchase-related status, include that. A Marketplace listing issue and an event reward claim issue may need different details.

4. The eligibility prompt or relevant menu

If the game says you must finish a task or reach a milestone, capture the full prompt. If you believe you already met the requirement, keep evidence of that completion too. A failure may reflect an unmet prerequisite, delayed update, account-specific issue, or technical problem.

5. The report confirmation

If you submit a report, keep the confirmation or reference number. Do not publish private support messages or account details. Confirmation means a report was submitted; it does not mean Roblox has confirmed a bug or promised a fix.

Record these details alongside the images

  • Time and time zone: note when the failed claim happened.
  • Device: PC, iPhone, Android, Xbox, PlayStation, or another device.
  • App and connection: note whether Roblox was updated and whether you used Wi-Fi or mobile data.
  • Steps to reproduce: list what you did, in order, from joining The Hollow to opening the reward screen.
  • Scope: note whether reopening the experience changes anything. Never share passwords or account credentials.

Keep original screenshots unedited. If you annotate a copy, preserve the original too. Do not add fake error messages or use another player's screenshot as proof of your own claim attempt.

Where to report a suspected UGC claim bug

For a technical glitch, start with Roblox Support's Reporting Bugs section. For a catalog item concern, follow Roblox's reporting guidance. You can also use the official Roblox Support request form.

Roblox's screenshot instructions explain the in-experience Captures feature. Because Roblox screenshots may remove some in-game UI and avatar names, ensure your evidence still shows the details needed to understand the issue.

Before calling it a confirmed The Hollow bug

Look for an official Roblox status notice or a consistent, independently documented pattern. Social posts can be useful leads, but they are not proof by themselves. Check the Roblox Status page. Even if platform systems are operational, a game-specific or account-specific issue may still exist; do not call it a confirmed platform-wide outage without stronger evidence.

FAQ

Are The Hollow UGC claim bugs confirmed?

This article does not confirm a widespread bug. It explains how to document a claim failure and where to report it. Treat individual posts as reports until reliable evidence confirms a broader issue.

Should I post screenshots on X or Instagram?

You can share a redacted screenshot, but do not expose private account information, personal messages, or support case details. Submit evidence through the appropriate official channel as well.

What if the reward appears later?

Check your inventory or reward screen again after a reasonable wait and review the stated eligibility requirements. If the item still does not appear, include both the original attempt time and later check in your report.

Can screenshots guarantee a fix?

No. Clear evidence helps explain what happened, but it does not guarantee a response time or outcome.

Bottom line: Save the reward screen, exact error, item page, eligibility prompt, and report confirmation. Add timestamps and reproduction steps, use official support channels, and do not describe an unverified claim failure as a confirmed event-wide bug.
